Work Experience Cable Jacketing Machine Operator General Cable - Des Plaines, IL December 2010 to Present Check work order specs. Gather appropiate wire AWGs and lengths, plastic compounds, color compounds, and material data sheets. Program and set up black, white, and silver print machines and wheels for appropiate legend. Open and clean all parts to extruder head, calculate, select, and install appropiate mesh screens, tip and die for extruder head. Seal extruder head. Program extruder to the correct zone temps & outside diameter tolerances. Load wire reels onto the hydraulic unfurling and coiling machines. Load plastic and color compounds into their respective hoppers and set hoppers to appropiate mix saturation. Thread wire element through pulley system, center it through extruder head, cooling system, and printers. Run extruder at optimal speeds. Subject finished jacketed cable samples to Quality Control tests(i.e. microscope, signal continuity, psi break load, and od analysis). Record all test results, scrap weights work order, lot and part numbers on material data sheets. Label, unload and stage all jacketed reels. Produce 100K ft. to 160K ft. of high quality jacketed cable daily. Assembler/Machine Operator Freedman Seating - Chicago, IL April 2011 to October 2011 Assembled mass transit seating to spec from blueprints using a variety of manual, power and pneumatic tools. Developed parts using various Fanuc CNC Lathes, Millers and Grinders. Assisted with the set up, programming and retooling of these machines. Unloaded and organized materials to be used on a FIFO basis. Adhered fabric and foam to seating inserts using gluing agents and hardware. Ultilized micrometers, calipers, torque gauges and tape measures to insure the finished products was Top Quality and up to Specifications. Packaged, labeled, and staged products for shipping. Electronic Voting Machine Tech Chicago Board of Elections - Chicago, IL October 2010 to April 2011 Setup warehouse electrical systems to allow the safe and optimal functioning of thousands of E2P voting machines and peripheral equipment. Unloaded, organized, and setup machines for processing. Tested, repaired and programmed all voting machines for the 2010 & 2011 1 Elections, utilizing multimeters, soldering guns, oscilloscopes, magnetic cards, programming protocols, schematics and small tools.
