I ,too, had a awful experince at Spherion. I was told that my position was a full time position, only to find out after being hired, it was a temp position. They will use you, and as someone else stated. They will give you a 1 day notice or better yet, a same day notice, that you are no longer needed. I always remind people, you reap what you sow..Watch out, what you do to others, can also one day be done to you. I hope the transition over to Randstad, will humble the staff, especially the ops mgr.

Okay... Understand that I know this could be referring to the others but it was left open and even if it was to them I must say your comment was quite rude "good experience". When I posted below I never thought I would come back here and I never wanted to have to post again. When I said those words my life was bad and it was a direct result of my experience there. If I did not need the number for the place I would not have come back. I never would have saw that comment but I did and now I have to respond. I will not simply have you dismiss my complaint as a simple rant. My life was made much more difficult due to this companies ethics and the people at dell not wanting to risk hiring me so they can save a buck. If you think I am ranting I admit I am and it is because my life and by extension my families suffered due to this. I will not have some person who did not even have something worth their effort to expound upon as to why they had a good experience say that my words are not valid with a snide remark. I don't care that the recruiters were nice working people, which where I went they were average at best but the fact is that the on site manager was not good, and none of them seemed to care about me more than a number on a page and finding a way to avoid a lawsuit by technicality. I lost years of pay, suffered physical pain and during that time was treated as an annoyance not a valued employee. Even if these lowly employees did care they did little to show it and the company did not and I am rating the company so that is that. I did my best to work with them but they turned on me and tried to hurt me more so I would give up and go away. They tried to hire detectives to try and catch me as if I was pretending to be injured. We went to trial, I was found to have been ill treated and thus while I did not win much in the way of money I still proved my point. They were wrong and they would not admit it and work with me. So if you are doing more than just advertising for the company explain why your experience was better. I would love to hear that they are better now and how. I may not forgive them but my anger is just that and not hate. I wish all those people only the best in life but I cannot lie and say that my experience was good and let that pass. If I did I would be advocating what they did. I am done with them but the spherion of the past was not a good place for me. But if you don't have anything more to say then it was a good experience or to say think of what the recruiters have to go through then don't belittle my life or pain especially when you know nothing about me more than a few sentences.

I had a good experience with Spherion, but i guess its easier to rant and rave about things you are not happy with, than to appreciate what all the recruiters have to go through.

I worked for the agency here in florida and i waited 4mo to finally start working after three interviews but the place where they sent have no tolerance for blacks you are miss treated basically if you sleep with someone on the site you will have a place with them and the agency new of this once your in there you get threating by the agnecy that you wont get your workers comp i find that to be destroying peoples lives big time

Oh boy I agree with all of you guys. These Spherion people are immature. i went to give my interview there last week, the place was mass, I thought that I was in Kindergarten class, believe it or not I walked out of there with giving interview….

I write this simply because I was injured and severely mistreated by the Spherion temp agency and their representative medical services in trying to write off my injury or abandoning me to endless medications, and lazy physical rehab instructors. I was moved from computer assembly where I was placed before training finished to do line work. I suffered an injury due to strain from the work though. During my incapacitation they did not find me a reasonable return to work for my injury, but still denied me workman's comp during the two to three years before I took them to court. In the end I have a small settlement, depression and a damaged marriage, and still no firm idea of what is the cause of my injury other than it may be spinal in nature. DO NOT BOTHER WITH SPHERION IF YOU WANT FAIR TREATMENT!!!

I would have liked to send my Resume via email in response to a particular job, however that option is not available. You are required to go through a lengthy process on a poorly functioning website that repeats questions, shut out halfway through the questionnaire with “unauthorized” and phone help was rhetorical. VERY unprofessional and inconsiderate. I wouldn’t consider working for them.

wonderful they paid good money the years I was at Dell and they always let me come back over a several year stretch I wish I would have stayed It was undoubtedly the funnest and best job I ever had.

i have worked for spherion myself and yes they lieee ,i had two different assignments both were part time never full time they lied to me sooo, much i couldnt wait to leave.

- disgruntled - August 4, 2007

I agree with both o these reviewers. I am a former Spherion employee and Dell in Lebanon. While I loved my job at Dell I was very unhappy with my experience with Spherion. Nobody in the office seemed to know what was going on. If I asked three people the same question I would get three different answers. They were clueless. I was suppose to get my first paycheck the week after I started working there by direct deposit. I checked my account that morning and it had not been deposited. When I went to the office nobody could figure out why. I had been out of work for the three weeks prior to starting with them so I REALLY need my check! The next week it was the same story. I finally started getting paid the third week that I worked there. They gave me a 10 hour bonus for my problems but that didn't help the fact that I went THREE WEEKS without pay from this company. Even though they knew that it was their error they refused to cut me a check. They said that they couldn't do it but I refuse to believe that. To make matters worse they assured me that the position would lead to a full time position with Dell. Then at the VERY END of my assignment they changed their tune. They send me an email on a Tuesday telling me that the hours on my contract were almost up and that the next day would be my last day. They gave me ONE DAY NOTICE that I wouldn't have a job. They knew well before that but that didn't tell me because they just wanted to keep making that money off of me and didn't want me to leave early. I felt that the way they handled everything was unprofessional and I would not reccomend Spherion to anyone unless you want to work hard and not get paid or be appreciated. There are some good staffing services out there but this is not one of them.

- furious - October 25, 2006

I agree with exDellemp. The service is just crappy and they lie about everything (bonus checks, sign on bonus, hours, etc). Dell needs to go find someone else to get their employees or do direct hiring because a lot of good workers don't ever get hired there because of spherion and how they do business.

- exDellemp - January 14, 2006

Spherion, hiring for Dell is just awful. Not only are the so called "recruiters" immature, but they are tactless, lying jerks. This company needs to be put out of business. Dell ONLY hires temps in this state, through this temp agency. Don't waste your time with either.
