- A1 is dishonest - March 31, 2010Duhh wrote: "It’s our job to find the best applicants for our clients, it’s not our job to “FIND YOU A JOB!” That is your JOB!" That's a horrible attitude. Business is about mutual trust. When an applicant comes to A1 seeking to apply for potential job they found, is confident they are qualified for that position and invests their time & energy towards obtaining that position and then finds out later that the position does not even exist, THAT is dishonest. Don't list job openings you don't actually have and waste our time. This isn't about miracle working this is about being straight forward about the types and number of positions you have and the types and number of candidates you can place. If you can't help a candidate or aren't sure about the availability of a position be straight forward and say so right away. Don't mislead people, waste their time and leave them hanging. It's the dishonest and deceiving nature of A1 that causes so many quality candidates to become rightfully angry.

- anonymous - September 4, 2009Apple One only care about the money your body will generate for them, they do not care about the kind of company they place you with. Because of Apple One my health was compromised and they will not even listen to what the company they earned thousands of dollars from did to me, they are scum there are better placement agencies out there

- anonymous - August 19, 2009AppleOne is a complete farce. I agree with everyone here except for the recruiter who said they are doing their jobs. I relocated here in June, 2009. I contacted AppleOne in April, 2009. An interview was scheduled with a head recruiter at the Clairmount Mesa Office; she was positive until I met with her. To be honest, I felt she saw that I was heavy and her positive attitude became very bleak and dismal. I then met with another head recruiter with the downtown AppleOne office, was told that I needed to change the way I answer the phone, etc. They are really good about giving advice about how you should be more professional, but they never come back with any jobs. In fact, I contacted one several times with no response - so much for professional etiquette when it applies to them. In fact, I feel that they advertise for jobs they actually do not have. I have spoken to many individuals who have gone to these offices over the year or so and they have had no good results. I think they are a waste of time and cost an employee who is seeking a job a lot more in terms of salary and potential earnings while saving money for the so-called companies they represent therefore lining their own pockets with money!! Good luck if you go there, they might help 2-3 people out of every 100 that walks through the door!

- A1 Insider - August 12, 2009Ok, just for the record, I'm not a disgruntled former employee, just a former employee. Now to the discussion at hand...yes, there are many negative comments here from people who have signed up with A1, and it's impossible to know whether they were good matches for what they were looking for or if they showed up in jeans or if they picked their noses during the interview, but I would say it's fair to say that if they were willing to take something to pay the bills, they would have if A1 had presented these choices to them. As for the A1 employees that have posted and go on and on about the longevity of the company, it's size, blah blah blah, well I'm not surprised. You're getting a paycheck while many of us aren't. You must have drunk the kool-aid to stay there after A1 and ACT-1 merged, layed off so many people (whom they lowball in salary), made people making in the 40's take a pay cut then announced so many directors are now VPs. It's a company that gets on its knees for the sales force (they still doing those yearly trips for sales leaders and directors to Mexico/Vegas/Cruises?)and squeezes the support people with no reward other than "you have a job when so many people don't". They have a curious business model based on the "entrepreneurial spirit" (get the sale on the books but don't worry about making sure it bills correctly). Of course they make up for losses in "volume" by underselling the competition then carrying losses on the books in creative ways. Odd business this modern day human trafficking.

- anonymous - August 4, 2009I used to recruit for AppleOne and I admit there were certain people that were easier to place than others. This in NOT because some people were better - it is because certain jobs and employers call for certain skill sets. The woman with a JD, while highly qualified and intelligent, would not be a good fit for most of the jobs that could be offered by the agency. Sure, she COULD do secretarial work, but why would an employer want to hire someone so clearly not suited for a long term administrative job when he or she could hire someone whose experience and goals were more in line with what they need? Furthermore, the agency is not in the business of finding people entry-level work - companies pay AppleOne to recruit people who meet specific requirements, so often it is NOT the fault of the agency for being too specific - it is at the request of their client companies who are paying for what they want.

- anonymous - July 17, 2009I was registered for two years with Apple and NEVER received a temp job - I basically left!!! Snelling Personnel in White Plains is the best!!!

- SMITHERS - May 23, 2009Pretty much everyone on here is a retard. sounds like a bunch crappy workers to me. Its funny how Appleone has been around for 45 years and continues to land big accounts. Its amazing how dumb these comments are.

- anonymous - March 23, 2009Apple One is crap and Bernie Hemroyd is a complete moron. I know, I am a 27 year veteran of the staffing industry and I had the unfortunate experiance of taking a job with them a few years ago. I left after a month.

- Lied to - February 13, 2009Appleone failed in its agency status to secure a sure temp to hire position for me. I interviewed with the employer and was almost offered my dream job on the spot. Three days later, Appleone called to tell me that I was offered the job but at a lower wage than advertised and at an uncertain start date. Then, Appleone botched their negotiation with the company which was forced to hire through a different temp agency. My Appleone recruiter called me up and lied that the job was no longer available due to a work slowndown at the company. Thank you Appleone for only wasting two weeks of my time and not the whole year. Thank you for making me more cautious around your industry. Hopefully, other agencies are more honest. I agree the other postings on this forum are correct in saying that Appleone is an unethical company. Rotten to the core.

- Disappointed - January 12, 2009I went in for an interview at Appleone this AM. They had a job posting that was right up my alley. The receptionist was absolutely great. The interviewer was rather young and would not look me in the eye during the interview. He seemed to want to know a lot about what other temp agencies I had worked for and then when he found out I was interested in a particular job, he said "oh that's not one of my clients. The person who has that account is out of the office for jury duty". It really seemed like a bait and switch. So I chalk it up to experience and realize I might not get any calls from Apple so I will just check around at the other agencies.

- Ken Holliday - December 5, 2008I will never ever use Appleone again as long as I live. They get mad at you if you are not at home and they have to leave a message, I have to look for a job because Appleone does not know the meaning of customer Service. I have been out of work for almost 3 Months and I am the one that has to call everyday to see if they found anything for me and I'm the one that does all of the e-mailing to them. I have never been treated with so much disrespect by a stupid ass Company. So too all of you that own or manage an Aplleone do us all a favor and fire these stupid ignorant assholes. And start fresh by hiring us to take over their jobs, WE will show you how to give the best Customer Service. Thanks and have a good one Ken

- AppleOne Chump - October 31, 2008I live in San Diego and find the local AppleOne team here to be a waste of time. I am a college grad, (Marketing major) working on a MBA from a very prestigious school. I'm have advanced-to-expert level skill sets on most of the commonly used business software to include Microsoft, SAP and Oracle. Short story long, I'm not exactly an idiot. And yes, I do dress professionally for ALL interviews. I went to Apple because they had an enormous amount of jobs posted on Hotjobs. I called them up and was told they, "Can't fill them fast enough! Come on over and register." I went and registered the next day and that process took HOURS. Tests, (I knocked all of them out of the park) filling out this form and that form, watching some stupid videos that insult anyone with any common sense, etc. When it was FINALLY over, I got to talk to a recruiter. First she grilled me about what other temp assignments I'd been on, which agency got them for me, who did I report to on the assignment, his title, etc. I was very uncomfortable answering these questions, felt they had no relevance, and frankly, were none of her biz. So after the interrogation she tells me I have great skills and as soon as something opens I'll get a call. I was taken aback; what do you mean when something opens? Just yesterday I was told you couldn't fill all the positions you have. She said, those positions had all been filled between yesterday and the time it took me to finish the application process. I was ON FIRE!!! Not only has she lied to me, she's playing for a chump; like I'm some moron you can just tell any old thing and I will believe it. But I held my tongue and thanked her for her time. I called AppleOne once a week for two months...I got nothing from them. In fact, if I didn't catch her at her desk, I wouldn't hear from her at all because she NEVER responded to voice mail. Eventually I went to a smaller, boutique temp agency and they immediately sent me out on interviews. On the the third one, I was offered a temp-to-perm job. Six months later, I still call AppleOne, pretty much just to mess with them, to ask if they have anything. When I am able to reach a recruiter (the one who signed me up is long-gone) I'm told "Nothing yet, but we have you on file." Out of curiosity, I called my old boss from my other temp agency and he told me that AppleOne had been blowing up his phone trying to get in to see him; I told him don't let them and apologized for giving out his contact info. AppleOne is a waste of time. Don't go there because in my experience, they are LIARS!!!!

- VeryPleased - October 24, 2008I went to Appleone over 1 year ago. After I registered, took the test, had the first overview of myself and my goals, I had an interview the next day, and a job the day after that. They had plenty of interviews/options available when my assignment was over. I still consider them a great resource. You just need to research your options. It's true what others are saying, when you get there, pretend you are meeting with an employer, dress appropriately, speak clearly, have your resume available (hard copy), and know what your goals are. Keep your best foot forward and leave negativity behind. You just never know what client is searching for that perfect candidate. Good Luck to all.

- Some Girl - October 18, 2008WORST EVER. Seriously. The rep. called and canceled the interview with me when I was on my way to the interview. She was frustrated with the fact that I was open to any job they would assign me to and then expressed that my education and work experiences would not be adequate for finding me a job. Now, mind you, I have a J.D. from a top-tier law school and have previously worked for a Federal Judge and the State. ARE THESE PEOPLE AT APPLEONE HIGH OR LITERATE?!

- Piper - October 10, 2008Don't waste your time with this company. Most jobs that are posted don't even exist. I wasted over 4 hours getting "dressed professionally" as they suggest (duh) taking test, being interviewed and filling out paperwork - and although I continued to see job after job that I am more than qualified for posted - never got a call. Now, before someone (probably current A1 employees) wants to suggest I'm "unemployable" - let me say I have a wonderful work record, have received several awards at work, and I am extremely professional. After discovering the scam, I found employment immediately on my own. This is false advertisement - but of course Monster.com will never do anything about it-you don't bite the hand that feeds you!

- none to show - September 23, 2008The North Austin TX office is only interested in the Employer and are oblivious to TX law regarding employment practices. As many of us in Austin gather a Class Action suit against the North Austin Office I would encourage others to post here.

- Joan V. - August 19, 2008WOW, I'm really shocked to read this stuff. I went appleone and got a job almost immediately. I wasn't crazy about it because of the hours and my school so they just found me something better for more money. I wonder if people are complaining because they just aren't hireable.

- Daniel - August 7, 2008This agency is a piece of shit. I had to get up one day early in the morning, sit in traffic and waste gas only to fill out paperwork, watch a stupid video and get an interview that lead to nowhere. People dont waste your time applying for positions at Applone. They are horrible. My recruiter was so rude because I got there five minutes late because traffic was terrible. They only had temporary jobs where I had to wake up early and call them. They would then send me to a place to work IF there was anything that day. I would also be mapquesting different companies all the time. This agency is a total joke. If there was not work I would have to wake up early for no reason. Luckily I found a permanent full time job at bank of america where I am getting all the benefits. I dont have to be stuck doing stupid temporary work for appleone.

- jesstwo - July 21, 2008First of all, the people who are complaining about AppleOne can't even spell or speak proper English. Ginger, learn to speak properly and then maybe, just maybe you will land a job. Ladies and gentlemen, look in the mirror before you complain. Remember temp agencies are not miracle workers.

- Loyal2Appleone - July 19, 2008Appleone is the best! All of you unemployed are unemployed because you are UNEMPLOYABLE! You probably haven't held a job longer than 3 months. Why would any of our clients pay a fee for you? We don't place everyone that walks through the door. When you call and try to FORCE yourselves upon us, INSISTING you have skills when you are just a pathetic joke that can barely communicate over the phone much less in an interview. We try to be polite and discourage you from coming in. You think we just hand out jobs? Most of the candidates we place are referrals from other great professional candidates. If you didn't get a job with appleone then you probably can't get a job on your own anyways. And those of you registered for a year with us? What a fucking joke! Who registers with an employment agency and waits around for a year sucking up unemployment benefits that we all pay for while you sit on your ass and bitch about us on an internet site. Appleone does suck, YOU DO!

- piss'd temp - July 13, 2008apple one is a joke, they use u. All these statements are obvious. If youve ever had a job that lasted less than 3 years, apple one will never call you because your now a safe applicant to give to theyre clients. I have been registered with them for a a year now, they found me NOTHING. Am I to believe that NO jobs have been available for a tech support specialist in so california? I think not. Don't feed the beast, they won't find you a job. Sorry to say, your on your own if apple one is the only temp agency in town. Ive talked to 2 agencies in 2 cities, and they are rude, condescending, usually ugly young girls with a high school education (only requisite seems to be bilingual for customer "service"). don't listen to AppleOne #1, its a lie.

- AppleOne #1 - July 2, 2008Just a few comments to "AppleOne Stinks" on June 23rd. Now seriously...do you think we would place an individual who has the audacity to use such language? I have worked for AppleOne for a little over 2 years and it is an AMAZING company!! We are the leading privately held agency in the nation. So if we suck so bad, like some of you are saying, how would Bernie Howroyd, President and Founder, accomplish that? Yes, we cannot place everyone that walks through our doors and futhermore we never promise that. I have received complaints from candidates for this exact reason. But you want to know something; those candidates have not work in over a year because they have been "taking time off," laid off from several different companies (when does that happen), the most they have worked at a company is 5 months, show up with no resume, curse during the interview, or have a retail/fast food background looking for $15 an hour. Be realistic people! This job market is horrible and as some of these postings have stated we are looking for the best of the best for our clients. Some advice for job seekers: register with as many agencies as possible (some companies work exclusively with certain agencies), show up to our office ready for an interview (dress professional/business casual, resume/references on hand), plan to spend a couple of hours (I spend probably an average of 30 hours if not more working one candidate, I think you can spend 3 registering), be flexible and be positive when interviewing and speaking with your Recruiter (as said before we put our name behind you; will you put your name on the line for someone who is constantly negative and going on about personal issues?). I hope this helps and shines some light on the other side of the story.

- yo - June 11, 2008I went to AppleOne during college and they never found me anything. After college I met with a great account executive who kept me busy with temp jobs until something permanent came along. I ended up taking a job in corporate, and it was a great experience. Every recruiting firm has rotten apples. I guess it depends on how well the office is managed, and how good your recruiter is. AppleOne has some very hard workers who understand the importance of their applicants. They're the ones who remain, after the bad ones jump ship or are fired. Even with a good recruiter, it can take time to find a job. So don't expect miracles. Keep searching, and use every means available.

- loyalstaffer - June 10, 2008Call me naïve, or whatever…but I work for Appleone and have been with them for three years. About a week ago I was told by a colleague’s candidate that she researched our company and felt that she found too many negative comments. She felt that maybe she was making a mistake allowing us to represent her. I say I am naïve because I sincerely thought that she must be mistaken. I love Appleone and the opportunity it has brought to my life. Not only the opportunity to support my family, but also the opportunity to learn about life. When I first started with Appleone, I believed everything I heard, saw, and experienced. What I didn’t understand is why people would do the things they do. I quickly learned that people generally are looking for a miracle. For example, how many reports do you see regarding weight loss and that miracle drug that is going to make you “hot and skinny” with wash board abs? Okay, now how many of them actually work? NONE! In order to get “hot and skinny” with wash board abs, you have to put the time and effort into accomplishing such a goal. You have to eat right and exercise. Since the dawn of time, people have been picking plants, grinding herbs, chugging juices, and anything else that they can to lose weight. It is not going to happen! People are even so desparate to lose weight that they end up having surgery! Now you’re wondering what this has to do with Appleone and staffing… Well, it’s the same thing. When people are looking for work, and they turn to staffing services they are essentially looking for that miracle. They tend to sit back and wait for the phone to ring. Appleone is simply a resource, not a miracle worker. I have heard many sob stories within the last three years of individuals that are going to get their phone turned off, have their car repossessed, or lose their home. My question to them is simple. “What other resources have you used to assist with your search?” The answer 95% of the time is, “I haven’t been using any. I have been waiting for you to call.” Now, if I were going to lose everything I had, I would work at McDonalds flipping burgers until I found something. I would work at Wal-Mart, or wash cars, or something. Personally as an Account Executive, I treat everyone as fair and respectful as possible. I clearly tell all my candidates that I will not make them any promises and suggest that they register with multiple companies in order to better their chances. The job market is tough and competitive. Employers want the best! Not only that, I don’t want to place ANY of my candidates in a filler position. I want them to thoroughly enjoy the position, the company, and the opportunity. If I only place 10 people a month in a position that they love rather than 25 people a month in a position they hate, I will definitely see more of a positive reward. My candidates usually not only appreciate my honesty, but even if I don’t place them, I receive referrals from them frequently. At the end of the day, I can sleep at night. I know that I have done the best that I could. Again, when I read the postings about how much Appleone sucks, I was not only hurt, but also mad! Mad because I truly believe in my company. I am sorry for the bad experiences people have had, but Appleone can only take blame for some of the incidents. My advice to job hunters… register with as many staffing companies you feel comfortable with. Continue hunting on your own, network with others, take a chance…and above all, don’t expect a miracle. Be flexible. Don’t expect to find a position 5 miles from home that will pay you 100k for showing up to work on time. I know that gas prices are rising, but remember – rising gas prices have no influence on your skill set. (And that is what the employer is paying for.)

- Nadia - May 25, 2008AppleOne is CRAP! I went in there about 6 weeks ago and the woman who interviewed me told me she would call me within the next few days. She did not call so I sent her an email. A week went by and she didn't reply so I called and she said she didn't reply because she was on vacation (yeah right8-)) and then she told me she got a position for me and they would call on the following monday to set something up. NO CALL. I sent her an email to ask if she had any other positions, she said she'd let me know as soon as she found something. 2 weeks passed, still nothing! I sent her an email last week and she still didn't reply. Hopefully AppleOne goes bankrupt or something because they're the most pointless company EVER!

- Lorena - May 19, 2008I have had nothing but wonderful, awesome experiences with AppleOne. I told my recruiter what I wanted and because of my previous job experiences he had little trouble finding work for me. I think people have sour grapes because they have little to offer when it comes to experience and eduation and/or don't give a good impression and that leads to little or no contact from an agency. Appleone has now placed me with a great job in NYC, where I make a good salary. I work in international marketing, and make enough on part time work to support myself quite nicely. I have only praise for my people there. Now they contact me to see if I have any like-minded friends that they can place as well!

- Right On! - May 10, 2008I would just like to say DUHH from April 12,2008 is Right ON! I have been in offices where I have seen candidates come in wearing Jeans, when asked for a resume or references they say they did not bring them and have not even started to look for work on their own. Staffing Services by nature are an ADDITIONAL RESOURCE when it comes to locating the ideal job. Job Seekers should be prepared when they come to an interview. I have had great success in working with several AppleOne offices. I would have to say the key to my success has been dress to make a good first impression and treat the agency interview like an interview you would if they were the client company.

- DUHH - April 12, 2008On average people come in to a staffing firm with the belief that they are going to walk out with a job. If it were really that easy, WHY IS THE UNEMPLOYMENT RATE SO HIGH? I am tired of nagging candidates that don't know how to put a sentence together, calling bitching and moaning about us not finding them a job. This is America ladies and gentelmen; you need to be the best at what you do! Do you honestly think that you deserve a job because you spent a few hours filling out paperwork and taking tests? Maybe you would have a job if you did well on the tests and spent less time whining like a fool! How about going to a staffing firm and understanding that this is an interview that will ultimately lead you to a job with a client of the recruiter you are meeting with? Do you think that a recruiter will put his name on the line for an individual that does not have the skills that the client is looking for? Now seriously people, stop wasting your time whining about the staffing firms and your theories about “Ghost Postings”; go read a book, practice typing, go to a training school, and please stop trashing recruiting firms. It’s our job to find the best applicants for our clients, it’s not our job to “FIND YOU A JOB!” That is your JOB!

- Off the couch?? - April 9, 2008Ive been off the couch and live in shitty orlando florida, the issue is everyone wants to move to SUNNY FLORIDA and now there are too many people and too little jobs. I have lived here all my life, and you have to get a bachelors for a $9.25 per hour customer service position in downtown, with 5 years experience. RIDICULOUS! Rent for a decent apartment 1 bedroom 1 bath 950-1200 a month. And there are waiting lists for most apartments, NOT GOVERNMENT SUBSIDIZED. And you better hope that you have that special thing that will cast you from the hundreds of other employees wanting that same position. This area is a joke, i mean my home was bought for 150,000 and now its worth 350,000 yet employers don't want to fork out the necessary pay so homeowners can keep their home, for positions. Traffic is a mess also, and the worst in the country. It rains everyday, always around 5pm, how convenient and that means traffic is twice as worse. Also Florida is the only state where convicted felons and runaway criminals can flock to WITHOUT being extradited. LUCK US! I actually had someone race me to a temp agency and try to cut in line in front of me, pathetic. All the agencies promise to get you a job and tell you they will contact you all the time, but it takes 3-4 emaisl to get a response from them, I actually had someone from spherion tell me that she gets 400 emails a day!!! Thats how bad it is here!! Im moving where there is a real job market and away from this sorry excuse for a state and job market. Word to the wise DON'T MOVE TO ORLANDO FLORIDA!!!! You will thank me and your unborn kids will too. Its not a nice place to live.

- anonymous - April 8, 2008To those who post before me, have you perhaps thought that your qualifications do not fit in line with the positions you see online and that is why you have not received a call back? Perhaps it is you that is the problem. They just don't have the heart to tell you. This market is not what it used to be, unemployment is up and only the nest of the best are going to be represented by services because there are only a few positions open. So if you are not the best, you might have to wait in line for a while. With any job opening, an interview does not gaurantee a job, the same goes with any service out there. Best of luck to you all. My advice, get off the couch and start looking for a job yourself. Take charge of your own career.

- New Yorker - February 6, 2008AppleOne is terrible -- and I've dealt with them in NYC. I at least feel better having read these reviews, so I know I'm not the only one. I've been registered with them for perhaps 3 weeks or so, and haven't gotten a job lead SINCE. Since registering, I called their agency repeatedly to let them know I was available, or to contact my counselor for questions or updates (which they ask you to do). 8 out of 10 times, my call or email was not returned. I then called and left a message with the secretary, asking if it would be possible for me to switch my counselor, because the one I had was terrible at returning my calls or emails. I mentioned that perhaps he was just too busy, and I'd like to be transferred to someone else's account. Minutes later, that same rep called me back in a hissy fit, letting me know that he "runs" the agency, that I'm expecting too much money for my skill set, and said "ehhh" before wishing me the best and basically brushing me off the phone. It was obnoxious and a little juvenile, frankly -- not professional at all. I sent him a brief email afterwards letting him know that no one deserves to be treated that way -- and that they just lost an amazing employee. I am done with them for good. AppleOne was terrible. Out of all the agencies I'm speaking to, they were actually the most low-class (decor, office environment, quality of staff), even before this incident. A much better agency would be AssetTemps or Adecco. -D

- Avoid AppleOne! - February 5, 2008I concur with most of the comments. They have been completely useless in finding my any temp assignments, even after cross-registering at three locations. In addition, I've found many jobs on their site, contact the appropriate Account Executive only to have the receptionist take my details. Never has my call been returned, even after emailing the contact subsequent of leaving my contact name and number. Clearly, these are GHOST (fake) postings. They have provided an extremely bad customer service experience. I welcome a representative from AppleOne to respond to my comments and be happy to provide details on my above-mentioned issues. Bottom line: AVOID APPLEONE AT ALL COSTS. THEY WILL ONLY LET YOU DOWN!!!

- anonymous - December 26, 2007First of all to the original poster, I have worked for several staffing agencies and since when is asking where a candidate has worked and where they have interviewed unethical. I was trained to do this by a completely different agency. Since we are spilling secrets, it is an industry standard to do that. Sounds to me like you couldn't cut it in the sales department and had to go find yourself a "filler position" best of luck there but it won't get you rich! Bernie did not invent any of those moves-I bet he wished he did!

- anonymous - December 12, 2007JOB SEEKERS BEWARE - NEW CLIENTS BEWARE - I am a former employee of AppleOne in Houston. In fact, I was one of their "recruiters" that was supposed to place people that were looking for "real jobs" by trusting what the seen on Monster.com and many other various job boards to be a real job! I only worked there for a few months and then I had to move on to an ethical company and a place where I felt comfortable in working at. About 60% to 75% of AppleOne's jobs are what they call "GHOST ADS." These are ad's of FASLE jobs which are jobs that don't exists. Bernie Howroyd is the owner of AppleOne and all it's subsidiaries - and this man is a genius at SCREWING the trusting people really needing a job. He has operated this company to have his branches post Ghost Ad's to only get applicants in his doors throughout the country just in order to gather YOUR leads or the information you know about other companies or companies youve worked for in the present or past. What I mean is he wants to know where you worked in the past, who you reported to, did you go through an agency, if so which one, who was the inside contact who worked with the competitor agency of AppleOne and all their contact numbers. This allows his branches to now have a "warm lead." Now his recruiters a/k/a Account Executives are able to call into a company or potentially a new client for AppleOne with all the information they need to make their sales call. AppleOne USES YOU TO GROW THEIR BUSINESS NOT GET YOU A JOB!! For those of you who have "registered" with them, you want to know why they ask you so many questions about your past jobs, who you reported to, who your boss reported to, and what your friends and family does for a job?? You guessed it! They are USING YOU FOR YOUR INFORMATION to further their cause in order to get a new client - NOT TO GET YOU A JOB!! Ok, so you ask, if they are getting so many clients by the information you supply them then why cant they still place you in a job?? Do you research about the staffing industry. It is a very competitive and cut throat industry with loads of turnover and terminating business relationships for the next best agency or the one that does not charge as high of a margin. The problem is they are flooded with applicants that register with them that does not keep up with the actual amount of real jobs they have. Im speaking from personal experience. About every 15 to 20 people I registered with AppleOne, maybe 1 of those would actually get placed. In my office of 7 Account Executives (AEs)/Recruiters, we only had about 10 to 15 REAL JOBS open at any given week. However, if you were to do your research on all the job boards they are posting on you would probably think they would have at least 35 to 40 jobs available out of each branch. What sucks about this is the company requires its AEs to have at LEAST 5 JOB POSTINGS PER AE. So if the branch you visit has 5 AEs, than you should have at least 25 jobs posted and maybe 8 to 10 of those are real jobs or if the office as 10 AEs there should be at least 50 postings (again at least 60+ of those are Ghost Jobs). I hate AppleOne and AppleOne Sucks!! They lie to their employees about everything, and most tragically they lie to those who register with them. I think anyone personally who works for AppleOne lacks character and the basic level of ethics in order to represent this company. This is why I left and why I post my opinion and commentary about this JOKE of a company. Do yourself a favor, approach with caution, be prepared to spend around 2 hours in their branch taking test, filling out paperwork, interviewing with an AE only to be interrogated for information they want to know to get into companies you use to work for in order to help themselves and not you gaining themselves a new client NOT YOU A NEW JOB! There are 3 branches in the Houston, TX market, and I would not recommend NOT ONE of them. All the branch managers there are unethical and nothing but back biting dogs against each other in their branches b/c they compete against each other and most frankly this company posses no character, integrity or honestly. Their story sounds good they are the largest privately owned staffing agency in the nation and almost a billion dollar company with over 300 locations nationwide Like I said, Bernie the owner, he is a genius with the business model of AppleOne and how he in my opinion exploits employees and applicants that has only made him a fat, disgusting, British Billionaire who came to America b/c he couldnt do this in his own country. Love. (Thats Bernies trademark salutation)

- anonymous - November 28, 2007APPLE ONE - The worst "Agency"

- A1Sucks - August 23, 2007My fiancee and I have been signed up with these guys for about 4 months now and they have not called us once. We keep finding jobs listed on monster.com and other sites, and it shows that they were listed by appleone but when you call about them appleone always says that they have just been filled, we have found out that appleone usually post invisible jobs with high pay rates just to get people to come in. Plus you will spend 3-4 hours if you do go in just doing the intake and paper filling process, they have you do test and watch videos and then they never call you back....its a waste. This place is a joke, don't waste your time.

- VA girl - June 19, 2007I've been with AppleOne since Jan. It started out good, they gave me a job on my first day. However, since then I have gone weeks without working and no contact from the agency.
