FYI - the address requires a slight correction. The temporary placement office of Manpower, Inc., is located in Suite 100. The Manpower Professional permanent placement office is in Suite 300. Now, for the rating of the temp division. I've been working for Manpower for over three years in three different states. Upon moving to Houston, I immediately went to this Manpower office and was given an assignment the next day. Perfect service, as usual. Only problem was, the assignment was terrible. It did not match my skills or interests at all. The company, people, duties, building, location all sucked. I was even afraid to go there due to the obvious mental/emotional illnesses of several of the employees. It was a handful of remnants from a huge layoff, people not even bothering to come in or do any work, just collecting their paychecks and waiting for their retirements, and so they hired two temps to come in to do all the work, one in the office and one in the warehouse. The assignment was supposed to last 6 weeks, to which I agreed. When it dragged on over months, I contacted the onsite rep (who, in 6 months had never even bothered to visit my worksite or meet me) and asked to be removed and given another assignment. Was completely ignored. I continued to contact them by email, phone and in person to get another assignment. On average it took 3 weeks to get a response to an email. Finally in desperation, I quit and gave them three days to get a replacement in for me to train. Guess what. Now I am out in the cold. They keep telling me I am "at the top of the list." After three months, just what list is that? The "Do Not Call" list? All the other Manpower franchises bent over backward to help me to succeed as a temporary and I in turn made a LOT of money for them; this franchise does nothing but lie to me when I beat down their door and ignore me completely otherwise. Unless you are absolutely desperate for a job, go to any other temporary agency in Houston before going to this one. Good luck.
