- shannon - January 12, 2012It seems like this Peter Whatever is the worse.

- anonymous - January 4, 2012This agency shouldn't even be in operation. I started an assignment 3wks after I applied in August and it was the worse. I felt like slavery came back and that I was sold to the highest bidder, I don't know about anyone else but the client I worked with was really awful enough said. Here I am three weeks without assignment after the first assignment and all I keep being told is when something comes up we'll let you know. How unprofessional it is when you call they act as if your annoying them (either their on lunch or just vanished into thin air). Not to mention one of the agents - i guess she just feels annoyed - told me to go to another agency, but when something comes up im in there like swimwear. :p keep your dignity and look elsewhere. There's nothing good about this agency at all, if you aren't in a box you would realize who their prefered clients are. ;-). And what's with the attitudes?

- ms g - August 19, 2011These people are clowns! Don't waste your time!

- anonymous - July 26, 2011LOL, Peter Pop. I dealt with him when he was at 24seven. He was pressuring me to send my portfolio to a certain company which I knew I was not an appropriate fit. I finally took the time to prepare a package for them and then he acted like it never happened. He didn't last long at 24seven. Alot of these headhunters are just not very bright. They like to act like they know everything but they really don't. They desperately send resumes out and just see what happens. My advice to job seekers is to use your own best judgment when it comes to the character of these individuals. There are so many better job placement companies than Vanguard, especially when it comes to creative fields.

- unsure - January 4, 2011told me to come in for a job but not sure if i want to go dont want to waste my time...

- NYCDesigner - November 7, 2010DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT work with Vanguard. They gave me a verbal quote over the phone for what my hourly would be with a one of their clients--whom I was very interested in working with. When I received my first Vanguard paycheck, the hourly was $10 LESS than the verbal amount told to me. I had received no email contract, hard copy contract, nothing which stated the rate on my paycheck, nor the verbal rate (this way my fault for not immediately requesting the rate in writing: LESSON LEARNED). They took ZERO positive action to resolve the situation; the recruiter told me he had "accidentally deleted all of his sent emails" so didn't know for sure if I was ever sent a rate confirmation or not; and I was basically told it was my word against his. The only reason why I did not pursue legal action was because I did not want to have to deal with them a one second longer than necessary, and, because I am actually regretting not having taken legal action, I am posting wherever I can to at least warn other freelancers/temps. This is a supremely unprofessional company with no respect for their creative talent. Earlier this year, I also met the unstable Peter Pop and he sent me over to a client who was not even looking to bring on a freelance designer. You have been warned. Whenever working with a freelance/temp agency: get it in writing.

- cathy - June 1, 2010I am looking for mailroom clerk position , please email me at caterina_pagano2000@yahoo.com,

- Robet Pescatore - April 30, 2010I would like to apply for a job as a Mail room and Mesenger and of course a clerk but I only have computer skills like making logs and documents and of course labels. This is the only job I had while working for Tanagraphics which became Tanaseybert and then closed. I have 37 years experience working as a Messenger. My comment is that my resume didn't go through when I tried to post it on Yahoo Hotjobs and would like to know why.

- JustMe - November 16, 2009Registered, tested, never heard back, but I didn't work as hard as I could on follow-up. No reason I can think of not to give them a shot.

- Anonymous - October 22, 2009Peter Pop met me, rushed me and then lost my portfolio!

- Philip Dru - September 4, 2009I went in, took a little test and had a job the next day. That was almost two years ago and i'm still at the same place making pretty good money. Vanguard worked well for me. Give them a try.

- anonymous - January 23, 2009Same as other reviews...stay away Peter Pop is awful! Don't waste your time on this one....

- Graphics Gal - January 14, 2009Peter Pop is perhaps the most arrogant person that I have ever met. He spent more time during my interview telling me how "legendary" he is in the graphics world than discussing my background or available opportunities. A few days after my "interview" he began calling me and leaving angry (because I didn't return his calls quickly enough) messages on my voice mail at all hours of the day and night. It only stopped after I threatened to file a lawsuit. Needless to say, I won't be recommending Vanguard to anyone anytime soon.

- anonymous - November 11, 2008Still waiting to hear from Peter Pop. He avoids all phone calls as if you are stalking him...wouldn't seem that way if he answered an email at least...

- anonymous - March 24, 2008Useless. Have yet to find me a job that match my skills. Sent me to 2 useless interviews. Throw enough crap and eventually it will stick...should be the company motto.
