- mad - July 7, 2011we did this and it was a waste of our time and money!! they ripped us off and gave us classes but we went to an audition and no one showed up not even the people who gave you the audition WORLD TSLENT took our money and left!!!!!!!!

- M.I.L.F. - June 16, 2011This is exactly why you can't jump on any opportunity before doing a complete background check... My brother was called back in after he did a monologue interview and said that the classes for his age were $1200.00 a pop... Susan page is no where near that so of course I said that's alright. I have a 3 year old son which I just entered into the Susan Page Modeling business. Not because I want him to get rich but for him to explore other opportunities in life. I think it's great that all of you are reaching for your dreams It's something you should continue to do. However, don't let one company ruin it for you! Take your photo's albums from this company and email or mail your pictures to other companies and see if they can offer you any auditions! Good luck...

- 808 guy - May 13, 2011World Talent is a legit company. There are certain things they will offer you while you attend their classes. You need to understand what they offer and also understand that they will not promise you the world. They made it clear before the open audition call that they are not there to make you a star. They simply are providing you the tools which are needed so you can survive in an industry that you (definitly) know nothing about. I myself was a client from 2004-2005. It all started as an open audition call to the public (a radio ad) i heard while i was at work. I decided to go to see what it was all about. Firstly they have a lecture to tell you what to expect and what not to. I understood that there will be a selected line which you will read in front of a recorded camera and three people. The lines can be from commercials or a movie and from that audition, they will decide if you have the skills of being an actor and also if u can be coached or taught to be one. (some people might not make it past the auditon phase maybe because of thier heavy accent, or reading issues, and its cause of these characteristics that alot of people don't make the cut) i am assuming that the people in the auditoning room, are somekind of acting coaches or judges. They will decide if you can be trained or not from your performance from the audition. If you do make it past the open public audition phase. This means that you are capable of being trained and have the qualities of becoming their client. Realisticly they woudn't ask someone who can read well to be a client. Or even ask someone who reads lines without proper enounciation. So basically they want a client who is capable of learning the skills needed to improve on thier auditions and other skills needed in this industry. Now this is where they will ask for a payment. This payment which they ask is not just money from you. But also is a commitment that the person will show up to every class and that they will treat this oppurtunity with the understanding that this will not gaurantee acting jobs. But tools needed to pursue, succeed, and act professionally in this industry. During the year you attend classes they will also get you real auditions with people who are looking for talent. See, you just cannot get auditons from out of the blue for no reason. But if an agency is sponsoring you and say that you attend their classes they will be more satisfied that you arent wasting thier time and that this person is serious in an acting career. So you see folks they are putting you out there for exposure. You cannot get that kind of exposure for free. Especially if you have no acting abilities, and no one representing you. This is where people stop, and say okay this is a scam! Because they are asking for money. The money is for classes, and a gaurantee that if there is an open casting call you will be notified.. an you will have an audition. The money is never a gaurantee that you will get chosen and have a job. You have to always audition to get a paying job. They cant get the job for you. All they can do is get you an audition and teach you how to prepare, act, and communicate in the industry. The rest is up to the individual. So you see they are not scamming you for money. When i was an active client, i got auditions like twice a montn for a year. I even had a pre pepared monologue which i learned in class. They taught me alot about the industry. After a year you will not get auditions. You will have to find them and book your own.. considering if you decide to persue this career. If you finish the classes within a year. You can still come to the classes for free as a refreshers course. Where you can meet new clients and practice the skills which you have learned with other clients untill a year is reached. Which then they will have a photoshoot for you which they will have your photo available to give to people looking for new talents. I dont knoe if you have to pay for it as when i was there. The photoshoot was free but i had to just show up for the appointment. You are also required to bring your own wardrobes which are appropiate for the type of photoshoot scenery theme they have planned. This is where my story ends, i havent shown up on the day i was scheduled for a photoshoot. I also didnt go to the classes during that one year cause most times my classes were cancelled due to not enough students. And the times were changed which i could no longer could attend. Bottom line if you want a agency which will make u famous an a star (I dont think there is one that will do it) But i can say this is not the one!! Especially since its in hawaii! Attend one in LA or somewhere in the mainland or if youre in hawaii somewhere else with a little more credibilty. If you are a begginer and what to see what it takes to be an actor in the industry? But dont care how long it takes to get there? Then this would be for you! As for me i am currently planning to relocate and am undecied if i should pursue this career! Good luck and i hope this helps!! Peace!

- Duhh!! - January 31, 2011Sorry, but stupid people deserve to get burned. That's the laws of nature. Why on earth would you fall for this. Please, people come on. If it were as easy as taking a few classes for $1500 everyone would be a star. It takes years of paying your dues, starving and learning the craft of acting. It's outrageous to think that acting isn't a profession and that it takes a lot of training. Move to Los Angeles or NY to get this training not Hawaii. One wouldn't go to NY or LA to learn big wave surfing. Wake Up people!

- Angry person - November 7, 2010me and my mom and dad went to des moines class for world talent and we spent like 1500 dollars and for that to go to wast on broken dreams is not good that could have went toward a car/colleage its not that much but srilll it could have been money in out pocktes

- keysey - August 21, 2010hey, i would love to be in the world talents, my friend is doing some photoshoots and she got me intrested in it :) i would love to join the classes. i was thinking of doing some commercials and some modeling.

- anonymous - May 18, 2010yah. one day they called my mom and they said that they were looking for extras for nickalodean and other things. so we went there and i had to do a monologue and things like that. then a couple days later they said that they need us again and wanted to talk us into classes. but we went in and my mom kept trying to ask for more details but they wouldnt give it to us. so yah. and also my friends has been in world talent classes but i never see her in anything commercials or what not and shes been with them for a year now. i cant contact her to tell her that she has to quit because its a scam. :( and i was really looking forward to it.

- anonymous - April 10, 2010OMG world talent needs to be sued in hawaii i mean my parents paid for all the classes and look we got nothing i did so many auditions and stuff and nothin

- Made in NEbrask - March 6, 2010They are a complete scam. We did all the classes - commercials, runway, etc... Paid for photo shoot & nothing ever came of it - no photos were ever taken. When I contacted Vtek (sp?) he threatened me about making waves. He kept bringing in pretend professionals from the industry - I'm guessing they were just his friends pretending to be big name talent agents. They were busted by our attorney general when they showed up with Vance from AdVance Talent in LA. Ever since the police became involved there is no way to contact them. I would like to join any class action suit as well, but even more so, I'd like to see all of the scam artists from World Talent behind bars!

- Sophia - March 2, 2010SCAM

- - - January 13, 2010I heard about world talent from the radio. I went to the auditions. I got the call back and they wanted me to pay offering us a 50% off deal. The lady said me and my sister were the only ones who got accepted. Then- I got intact with these two girls in my neighborhood who also got accepted. Do not trust them. I am a actress right now and was found by my agent in mejers. I didn't have to pay anything and am now on commercials about to move with my sisteer to California. I didn't have to pay and still got my way. DONT TRUST THEM!

- Lauren - November 18, 2009I am actually a Student that took classes with them about a year ago or so, THERE A FUCKING RIP OFF. first they make my parents pay a lot of money for only 2 classes and you get this thing called refreshers which is up to a year. the people who work there are nice. The coach's for the acting classes are ridiculous and dumb. THIS IS A SCAM. who out of this is in movies now? NO ONE. they make you pay for everything and sugar coat things. I had my photo shoot and they wanted me to pay for that too. i shouldnt have done this. but the only thing that i liked that it got me into acting and now im in california doing my thing. i want to become a producer now. fuck world talent im glad they closed down and when i get back to oahu hawaii ill give them a piece of my mind.

- Tyler - October 20, 2009I was with World Talent, We paid for all of the classes which was stupid cuz it was a scam. The only positive i got out of it is i now have an agent out in West Hollywood, CA. I am trying out how to sue them as well.

- Pissed ON - June 3, 2009I am also a parent that was suckered into this stupid class. I want to know where I can join for a class action lawsuit against World Talent. What a freaking waste of time and money.

- anonymous - May 22, 2009When and where can I join the others in filing the class action suit? Last year I was pushed into paying for basic class for my daughter to attend because she passed the audition and was told to pay for basic class to qualify for the producer's requirement (claiming the producer is with Nickolodeon). I am skeptical of their selling practice because I have to pay immediately on the spot to ensure a spot for my daughter to attend class and to meet the goal of the producer by a certain dateline which is six months down the road. They agreed that I'll pay a portion and pay the rest later. Not even a month had passed, and they asked for my daughter to go for another audition. If she passes the second audition, they'll pay for her and myself to go to LA to sign a contract. She passed the audition. Just as most of you have expected, it led to another hefty fee for the advanced class, which they said the producer would like my daughter to attend. They also said I have to pay for my daughter and myself to go to LA on our own and sign up with another talent agency. I refused because they broke the agreement. They also said she does not need basic class since she'll be in advanced class. I questioned their level of classes. No direct answer - they only repeated if I am available to commit to the program to support my daughter's goal. Upon completing the advanced class, she went into her photo shoot because they said it's part of the class. I did not realize at the time that I have to pay to get the photos. When reading through the blogs from others, it's a good thing I did not pick up the photos or I will have to pay extra. When I called shortly after the photo shoot regarding my daughter's Basic class, they asked me when is a good time that I am available. I gave them my hours. Ironically, the class hours got switched to when I am NOT available. Despite all my calls on when to bring my daughter to class, they did not contact me until 3 months later when I decided not to pay the rest of the balance due to breach of our agreement. The only communication I received from them was through a collection agency instead. When I called World Talent to try to settle our dispute, I'm only getting the runaround on their voice mail system. No one returned my calls. The first collection agency (Transworld) said I owe $1600. I told them World Talent breached the contract and mislead me with false advertising. The balance is also wrong because they failed to give me a receipt. I had proof of the payments made. My "balance" later got transferred to a second collection agency saying that I only owe $933 and nothing more(NCOFS). I asked if they will provide proof of my payment and will my daughter attend the class? They said they'll contact the client. I paid the $933. I have not heard from NCOFS or World Talent. I contacted my credit card company and they said NCOFS withdrew $933. I found out there is a NCO Financial Services, not NCOFS. I filed a fraudulent charge with my credit card company. Despite numerous voice mails to World Talent, no one returned my calls yet nor did I get a receipt or letter of confirmation from NCOFS.

- mumof3 - May 18, 2009Totally with ya Rick Y. I got the email a few days ago. All along I thought something was fishy!! World Talent is scaming all of us for sure. i would advise anyone who is looking at WT to make their little ones dreams come true to NOT pay any money to them. and to run the other direction.

- Rick Y - May 10, 2009YOU HAVE TO CHECK THIS OUT!!! http://www.wnem.com/video/18607811/index.html WORLD TALENT IS SCAMMING PEOPLE IN MICHIGAN. AND YOU WONDER WHY WE HAVE NOT BEEN RECEIVING EMAILS OR INFORMATION. THEIR HAWAII PHONE NUMBER IS DISCONNECTED!! I STRONGLY URGE ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE BEEN SCAMMED LIKE ME AND MY FAMILY TO PULL TOGETHER FOR A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT AGAINS WORLD TALLENT ASAP.

- Sandy - March 16, 2009I have indeed signed a contract for my daughter to be represented by a major agency. She has has auditions locally and in LA. So your answer is here everyone. Nobody ever spoke of refresher classes or made any promises. It happened for us because we were positve and listened to direction. So many people we went through training with were happy. Thanks again World Talent!

- Karen - March 15, 2009World Talent is a great talent agency! They provide a great service and there staff is wonderful! My son auditioned for World Talent back in May 2008. His experience has been nothing but great! Yes, it is true that you have to pay for the classes, but it is no different from paying for your kids karate, dance classes and sports dues. You have to invest no matter what your kid decides to do. I was in the middle of planning my wedding and paying for things, but I used the money I didn't have to invest in my child's dreams and goals. I owe it to my son! Anyway, after several auditions, my son got a call back from a well known manager, producer and author from L.A. We are waiting to hear back and God willing, we will be on our way to Los Angeles. My son and I are very happy to be working with World Talent!!!! Please give them a chance and you will see for yourself that they are great! Remember the entertainment industry is very competitive, therefore, don't get discourage if your child doesn't get a call back soon. Sooner or later someone will notice them if indeed this is what they really want to do. Take care!

- anonymous - March 11, 2009To this Sandy person; first of all cruel and uneducated I think not. When you sign and pay a whole lot of money for something that keeps changing or gets taken away from you I believe THAT is CRUEL and HALF BAKED. You wouldn't want to indorse your name with World Talent. Where is your daughter now and what has World Talent done for her? Please let us know how good World Talent is really?

- anonymous - March 9, 2009I too feel that world talent is a scam. I signed my daughter up with them about a year ago and when we signed her I were supposed to get two classes, tv commercial and a commercial print class. That was going to last for ten weeks then we would have refresher classes for the remaining of the entire year. In December we got an email stating that there will be no more refreshing courses. So I called to inquire about what we agreed on our contract and the person said that it, "It states in your contract that it is upon availability." and continued to say that there were no room in their classes. I found out after that they had to cut down classes because they did not have enough students. So what happened there are no room in the classes. Alos, when I think about it what happends after the classes. So they called us to go to a couple of auditions that come on now, i mean really no one ever makes the auditions. I feel they just use it for the hype. So now that we were ripped of our refreshers and our classes are over WHAT NOW WORLD TALENT? WHAT NOW? Then they held some audition which agian was just to get more money out of us and it was a chance for us to go to Dallas, Texas for some convention. Money money money, that's all they want is MONEY! Forget that. Look I understand that in order to do anything in life it may cost money and a lot of training but come on don't give me that crap! WHAT NEXT WORLD TALENT? Oh best of all I have a cousin that lives in Michigan and heard about World Talent. How you may ask. On the NEWS. Nothing good either. It was something sbout the way a family was treated by the staff and their misrepresentation to lure people to buy their classes. Same with what they always do instead of being up front and honest with people. That's not how you see other companies like such promote their business. They don't use big names like Nickelodeon and Disney to lure you in and then tell you to buy their classes. and I wish someone would try to defend them like the ones before this. Please try to shed some light on them. WORLD TALENT IS FULL OF NOTHING BUT LITTLE BROKEN HEARTS WHEN THEY DON'T GET ON NICKELODEON OR DISNEY. THANKS WORLD TALENT. MY DAUGHTER NO LONGER WISHES TO PURSUE THIS ANY MORE BECAUSE OF YOU.

- garcia - February 23, 20092 star for the acting classes but other than that, it has been upsetting!!! We signed my son up because the contract was for a year and he could attend as many classes as he wanted to. A few weeks into his contract, they changed his class time and we could not make it as often. They also mentioned the photo shoot was included but did not realize at that time that it did not include the prints. My son's photo shoot was on 4/20/08. No one called to set up viewing. I called on 6/24, left message for Kimberly, then on 12/18 for Ronnie. On 1/15/09 I spoke to Ronnie, who said that she would give me the CD of my son's pictures for FREE because I had waited for so long. Her assistant, Angelina was to call me back when it was ready for pick-up. No call backs so I called on 2/23/09 and spoke to Ronnie, who's last day is Friday. They could not locate my son's pictures and suggested I call Kimberly to do a retake. What a waste of time!!!

- monique-hawaii - February 21, 2009Okay, after reading all these comments, I'm in the middle of everything. I just paid a couple of thousand dollars to World Talent, Inc. I actually just came home from St. Andrew Priory School where they held their first session. It seems too good to be true, them mentioning Nicolodeon, Brenda Song etc. I admit, you really need to pay a lot of money for professional training. I google "world talent" and it did show a good reputation. This is the thing parents----- It's a GAMBLE! After all the training, if they want your kid, they'll hire him/her and now the parents' mentality is paparazzis, lights, camera, action, and red carpet. But if not, it's hard to accept that your hard earned money went down the drain. They did mention that if you're willing to "commit", that's the word that they keep repeating. It's a committment. Well, parents--just think of it this way: "When money is lost, nothing is lost, when health is lost, something is lost, but when character is lost, everything is lost". Like I said earlier, I'm in the middle of everything, I paid a couple thousand of dollars and I'm just hoping and believing that my daughter will get something out of it. At least a few commercials and I'll be happy :/

- Danny-Iowa - February 18, 2009World talent --biggest rip-off, third rate acting classes that will get your children know-where. It's all about money in these slease ball's hands. Stay away

- Sandy - February 17, 2009I can't believe you people are so cruel and uneducated. These people have gotten my daughter an audtion with a Nickolodeon Producer who is indeed intrested. It seem that perhaps you are bitter because most of you just simply couldn't afford it. Are you going to put down college too when you realize your poor planning will not include your childs education either. You don't even know what your talking about and your information and research is half baked. Sorry your not able to do this for your child but don't ruin it for others who can. I endorse World Talent Inc. 100%. I feel that are caring, professional and really good people. It is very sad that people don't have anything better to do than complain about something they don't understand. Keep it up World Talent and ignore these bitter individuals!!!!

- anonymous - February 6, 2009I think a lot of the parents that are unhappy with World Talent are people who's kids have not received an invitation to go to LA to meet with Nickelodeon casting agents. You're being unrealistic. At the audition in January there was a casting agent there from Nick. She let all the kids come in and slate and do either a monologue or a commercial. She wrote down notes on each kid. She then sat through a workshop with kids who had done some classes. There was only 2 kids in the whole bunch who would have been worthy of seeing in LA. I know all parents think their kid is fabulous and the greatest and cutest kid ever. But step back for a minute. Watch them do their monologue. Watch their acting friends do their monologue. Now imagine you see 300 kids a day doing the same thing. Is your kid really that great, or could they actually use some acting classes? You don't get to just "get discovered" in a mall. You have to learn the business, learn how to act, learn how to behave on a set. World Talent is giving kids in other markets to opportunity to learn from real actors and casting professionals. If you don't want to pay for classes, then don't. But don't call it a scam either just because someone wants you to pay for classes. Look at how much vocational training costs these days. It's not that bad.

- irrate mom - February 2, 2009My daughter went to the World Talent audition this past Saturday in Demoine Iowa. She was chosen out of hundrends of children to take classes. Her father and I decided to call the Iowa Better Bussiness Bureau for more information on this company. Come to find out they have no information on it. If this is a well known company why don,t they have any information listed?

- anonymous - January 26, 2009World Talent is not what it seems to be. I and my girlfriend took our daughters into a "nickelodeon" audition this past Saturday. After listening to a women named Evette speak about how she has discovered the individuals mentioned above and how she herself used to model (many years and lbs ago) we came to discover that they were looking for kids to take their classes. I as well as the next know how important it is to be skilled, but come on. Needless to say after reading all the previous statements we decided to follow through with the calling back process. Big surprise they made it. Now my friend was told that a decision needed to be made so the division could be closed and all children selected would be submitted to Nickelodeon before the end of the day; She spoke with a young lady named Kasey. We decided to do some more research and come to find out that Evette has ties to another business that goes by Jhon Powers. They in fact are not who they claim to be nor have they done what they say. Thanks for the disappointment.

- Troy Michigan - January 25, 2009Okay, here's the lowdown on World Talent, Inc. While I do believe that an educated/trained actor has a better shot in remaining in the paying world of acting and that meeting & networking with industry professionals is the routine standard of the industry, and paying for classes and headshots is the norm, we all have heard stories of those that were "discovered" while in the field shucking corn (just kidding, but you get my drift). Maybe that's what those who answer the "open audition" call are secretly hoping for. Something for nothing. The only thing that you are actually auditioning for at World Talent Management's cattle call is the opportunity of paying a talent management company (some of who supposedly acted somewhere, someplace, sometime ago) to give your child acting classes by nameless people who may are may not have been successful in the business and the promise of meeting a "industry professional" or two, who may or may not have any influence in the industry and worse, may or may not remember your child amongst the other thousands of hopefuls the next time he/she gets to suggest a kid for some acting role. I believe that a more Michigan-economic friendly cost and open transparency would still bring people in to get lessons and the opportunity of a lifetime (if they are lucky/fortunate to land a gig) and would rid World Talent Inc. from the stereotype that they are nothing more than scammers. I believe that World Talent Inc. has the "potential" to help an actor interested in acting professionally just like every person who answers the audition call has the "potential" to act. It's a subjective term and a subjective business. World Talent's advertising pitch, however, is downright misleading: "Do you have any children who may be interested in auditioning for Nickelodean?" Well, who doesn't have a TV-fed child who knows the names of their favorite kid show more the names of the 50 states and who only sees how much "fun" the actors must be having (and none of the work). The main thing is that, to my knowledge, there was no representative present for Nickelodean and the only audition was for World Talent Inc. So, their question, "Do you have any children who may be interested in auditioning for Nickelodean?" is using (potentially illegally misusing) Nickelodean's trademarked name. Has someone checked out if Nickelodean is aware that World Talent is using their name to draw people in? As the quest to be an actor continues, World Talent representatives begin hurling out names and pictures of successful working actors Brenda Song & Josh Dumahl (sp?) alongwith names of famous television programs while aligning them to their company. It went so fast, I still didn't get if they are saying that World Talent Inc. "discovered" those working actors or "trained" them, or what. World Talent Inc. is licensed in Hawaii. While that sounds gorgeous and all, does it have to be licensed in all states it is visiting doing business in and, is it? The Hawaii BBB lists 14 complaints (13 of which were "resolved") against World Talent Inc. involving "selling practices" including high pressure sales, misrepresentation, failure to honor verbal commitments, and inferior quality of provided service. The State of Hawaii lists 18 complaints against World Talent Inc. filed from 12/07 until 8/08. While a complaints were dismissed due to "insufficient evidence"; about 9 were "resolved", 1 "warning letter" was issued; 1 lawsuit was filed and a Judgment was awarded against them for $50,000. Although I didn't get the 50% off sale as some of the other parents have listed above, while I would like to buy the "potential" that World Talent offers in developing an acting career for my child, the truth is that their prices are way too high for my budget; especially without even a single guarantee. World Talent Inc. is not unlike many other agencies that are tapping into our secret emotional desires of being a star or getting rich. It just may be, however, that THEY are the ones getting rich.

- Industry Pro LA - January 20, 2009I tried to stay out of this thread as long as I possibly could, however, I feel now it’s gotten to the point that I need to step in as an industry professional who has worked in the industry for nearly 15 years and bring some “realness” to this discussion. The reason I stay away from these discussions is that the people in them have no experience or knowledge regarding the industry. However, I know some of the kids and parents with kids that are pursuing this are reading it…that is the only reason why I would like to bring my professional opinion to this discussion. All these comments here seem to be based on emotional opinions, not on the reality of how the business works. 1)If you want to work in the industry on the professional level training is a must and it does cost money, a lot of money. There is no way around it. This is a very expensive and very competitive business and it’s not for everyone. Because someone is charging for a service does not make them a “scam” 2)I’ve met a lot of clients from World Talent. And, the only reason I saw them was because they were trained. I can tell you they are pro. They are one of the best prepared and educated young actors out there and that’s the only reason why I see them. I also know they have auditions with other industry professionals (agents, casting directors and managers) from LA, NYC. Most of the so-called “wannabe” actors from la and nyc don’t even get to set foot in their door. 3)I never met a client who was not provided with training and auditions from World Talent. I have been to their 8 locations throughout the United States.

- fenton michigan - January 12, 2009WOW! I was told that my two boys were selected as well. However the story they told me was that there were 48 children selected for call backs. They wanted 5000.00 dollars from me TODAY on their 50% off special. In researching this on-line this company seems to be misrepresenting what they are really selling and that is over priced acting classes. (5K for 21 days of training) My youngest son was really upset that he wasn't going to be able to try out for a spot on Nick or Disney. Shame on you World Talent for trying to scam people out of their money. You should be honest about what you are selling. Also - they contracted a local guy to provide the acting classes on Sundays. I can get acting classes for my kids at a fraction of the cost that World Talent wants. Be careful and do not give these people your money!!!

- michigan mom - January 12, 2009yes, it too took my daughter to the saginaw audition thinking it was an audition for nickelodeon which was broadcasted over local radio stations. And yes i called this morning to be excited to hear that she was on the call back list one out of 12 kids. We were offered 50% off the workshops too. Now after reading this blog I am very disappointed. I now have to break this news to my very optimistic and talented child. Thanks a lot World Talent.

- Mom in MI #2 - January 12, 2009I also went to the audition in Saginaw. They said my son had made it and that he was 1 in 16 for his age group. They wanted me to pay right away for classes. I told them I'd call them back. When I didn't they called me and said that he could go for 50% of the original price. I'd like to believe it's true but am now thinking that they tell everyone they are accepted in hope of getting all the money they can get. Anyone else feel the same way? 2000 is ALOT of money to me.

- mom in michigan - January 11, 2009I also took my son to saginaw for the audition. I did the callback and got a answering machine, left message at 10:50 am. Recieved a phone call from them about 6:00 pm and want me too sign him up? I don't want to get ripped of either!! don't know what to do.

- mom in michigan - January 11, 2009we also heard the ad on the radio, booked an audition, went and was called back. they said my daughter was 1 of 12 picked in her age group out of 438 people total. Do I believe it???? My husband said no because they want you to pay $2450.00 (least amt) for acting/modeling classes and then you are suppose to get auditions once a month... did anyone else from saginaw or surrounding area go to this audition and get called back... are they a reputible company? please help, did i get scammed? Is my daughter that talented or do they just want my money?

- good or bad? - January 9, 2009i heard a ad on the radio and my mom got me a audition.i have no clue if i should go or not with all of these testimonials. basically: is it a good or bad agency?

- Happy - December 13, 2008I really want to go into World Talent Inc. My friends go there, and I'm not sure, but I live in Honolulu if that makes a difference on anything, and maybe the San Diego one is different. I think it's going to be great, and from what I know, all my friends are getting paid for their jobs.

- jeff - November 25, 2008Mom in Iowa #2, do you know about the audition in Des Moines on Dec 14th. Jan 18 and Jan 31. My wife and I are considering signing up, but are skeptical.

- Mom in iowa #3 - November 24, 2008I'm glad to see the last thread on here. I felt that kim and diane were very honest and seemed to know there stuff. I'm excited for my daughter to have there resources to only make her better!

- Pleased parent - November 24, 2008As a current client in Ia, first let me say that World Talent is not a temp agency. Second we have been well educated on the industry through her professional training. This industry in no different than any other profession out there. You must be skilled and trained to do your job effectively. Local play houses can not teach you the film/tv industry. Having a theaterical background myself I have made strong connections through the castings directors, agents and managers that World Talent brings in. The professionls are legit and looking to place the kids in their projects. Nothing is given in the industry and my child knows and understands that it is up to her and her abilities.

- anonymous - November 24, 2008My daughter had a call back from world talent here in Des Moines IA. Any current information on this company? Thanks

- Iowa Mom # 2 - November 23, 2008I also attended the same casting call you did, they wanted my daughter and we reluctantly paid the 6000.00 for these classes and their supposed help in auditioning my daughter for jobs. Although the classes were beneficial we have recieved no furhter communication from them and they will not answer our calls. Our Reps name was Kimberly and Diane. This is a scam. If your child needs acting classes go to your local playhouse or school and find classes for about 50.00. It will work just as good! Come to find out- the guy they hired was local and from craigslist. He would have trained my daughter for a fraction of the cost!

- anonymous - November 3, 2008got a call from them today and asked me if i have children lol i asked again who they are and when i heard WORLD TALENT i said no thank you and hung up. waste my minutes *_*

- Wasted Saturday - October 23, 2008I recently took my son to a world talent "audition". As soon as the lady found out that I was a single parent, she flat out asked me if I could afford the $2500 classes. They are a major scam, people take their children thinking that it is an audition. It is nothing more than bogus acting classes.

- waste of money - October 13, 2008I paid for 2 of my children with world talent honolulu, all I got was pictures I had 2 provide on a sheet of paper discriptions which i had 2 mail for auditions that resulted in 1 extras job.

- curious george - October 12, 2008My daughter attended an audition in L.A. hosted by IPOP (aka International Presentation of Performers). After doing my research, I found that IPOP used to do business (or maybe still does) as World Talent Inc. Could this be the same one? It sounds similar where the talent scout convincingly said that they've reduced the fees from $7K to a mere $2500. I've tried to get more info from BBB about these 2 companies (one in the same) but I was unable to find them there. Any suggestions?

- anonymous - September 30, 2008scam

- mom in iowa - September 28, 2008Now they have come to the Midwest to recruit. I am glad to see info on the internet to make my decision to call them back really easy- there will be no call. They want $2500 for 7 weeks of classes in Iowa!!!!! unbelieveable. Thanks for putting your stories on line to help others-it is appreciated. Mom in Iowa

- mad parent - August 22, 2008I put my daughter in classes and spent over thousand dollars and didn't get anything but bad pictures with she photo shoot

- anonymous - January 30, 2008I also have paid for my daughter's classes and have not got a call for anything. Anyone else??? It's Turko time !!!!

- anonymous - November 17, 2007We paid for my daughter to have classes through World Talent, Inc. in San Diego, CA and we aren't getting calls from them for the agents to come down to scout the kids and they have not called for my daughter to have her photo shoot. Now we can't even get a hold of them by phone and we went to the business site and there is no one there.
