I was just made a verbal offer for 48k for an HR Coordinator role. I make 40k now and have a BA degree and 4 yrs of related/entry level HR experience.

I'm very interested in the position and company, however, being that I live in San Francisco, I was really looking for at least 50k. How do I negotiate a bit more?! I was thinking of asking for travel reimbursement (this will cost me $600 per month) Should I just accept the offer??

Any advice is appreciated!!

See if you are already getting 40k then i think you should negotitate till 50k atleast as you have good amount of work experience and this will help you get better job than this. Ask them for travel medical expense also.

Accept the offer on the condition that you meet again in 3 or 6 months for a wage review. Let your employer know that you have an ample amount of experience and feel that your skills are valuable to the company. This will give them a chance to see that you are worth every penny.
