I've been looking like crazy to get an HR internship, I'm currently down at San Diego, CA. I just can't seem to find any, besides online and the paper, where else should I look?

Give your resume to a recruiting agency and they will help you faster. For an internship you can directly apply to the companies website and they will call you as every company needs interns.

I worked several internships when I was in college. I went to my academic advisor and he explained the process to me and also gave me a list of companies that offer internships. If this doesn’t work I would also recommend going directly to the company’s website to see what they have posted in their job section.

You should contact local universities, any groups that may need a volunteer or helpful, willing but unpaid worker, like a charity. I would also network, call people you know in that field, it is probably one of the best ways to find these openings. Also, I would consider mass emailing my resume to the larger companies throughout your area.

I wanted to also mention that you might try to find some magazines or journals in your area even in a college library if possible, they may have listings of companies, listings of opportunities or hints on how to break into this area.
