Do NOT Work for Triad Personnel

I've worked for lots of temp agencies in my line of work, which is in the IT Field. Most of them don't really care about the employee and are just worried about the money they make off of the hours you put in and copping a "Finders Fee" if the company hires you on. But TRIAD PERSONNEL really takes the cake.

I was contacted by Triad Personnel for a position that sounded very interesting. I was told the position paid between 38 and 40K which was right around what I was making at my current position. So I agreed to go on an interview the agency called a few times prior to make sure I was ready, knew where to go, etc. Sounds okay so far, right.

Well this should've been my first sign of trouble, during our last conversation before the interview the rep says "Oh and if they bring up salary during the interview, just say that you're really interested in the opportunity and that you're sure you will be compensated fairly." Since she's already told me what the position paid I didn't see the harm in it. I got the job and was started at 38K.

Fast forward 3 months down the road and I'm being offered a permanent position by the company, and the job offer starts at 32K! WHAT!?!? There seems to have been a "miscommunication" between the agency and the company as to what I was making, and they are not sure where the miscommunication was.

What the agency hasn't realized is that people actually talk to other people at work and I have learned that they do this to everyone at this company. All employees are recruited through Triad Personnel and they all start at a higher salary than offered by the company and they all learn of the lower salary after the 90 day waiting period.

Hopefully the next person that lands an interview with Triad will read this first and not fall for the trap.
